Julia Miod, President
Julia grew up in Carson City before attending the University of Nevada. During her time on campus she was involved in ASUN as well as within the Kappa Xi chapter. After graduating with her BSBA in Management, she worked for Sigma Kappa National Headquarters as a leadership consultant. After a year of traveling, she attended Iowa State University where she earned her M.Ed – Student Affairs. Julia has since lived in Las Vegas and recently moved back to Reno. Since becoming an alumna, Julia has volunteered as a Recruitment Supervisor, Programming Content Development Coordinator and Risk Management Coordinator. She is very excited to now serve on the Sierra Nevada Alumnae Chapter as the President to increase our chapter’s engagement and fun!
Chelsea Mazza, Vice President of Communications
Chelsea graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno as a Kappa Xi alumna. Following graduation in 2010 she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Willamette University, College of Law, in Salem, Oregon. She returned to Reno in 2014 and is practicing as a Deputy District Attorney in the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office, in Minden, Nevada. She has been a collegiate advisor for the Kappa Xi chapter in the area of recruitment and membership. She currently serves as the Recruitment Supervisor to the Kappa Xi chapter.
She is happy to have the opportunity to interact with more women from the Sierra Nevada Alumnae chapter as the Vice President of Communications. She is looking forward to getting the word out there for our events and allowing more sisters to connect even years after college has ended. Outside of work and Sigma Kappa she enjoys time with family and friends, enjoying all the Sierra Nevada area has to offer.
Jordy Fisher, Vice President of Finance
Jordy Fisher was a member of the Kappa Xi chapter of Sigma Kappa. Jordy is a Reno local, born and raised. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2018 with a BA in English Literature and Spanish Language. She lived briefly in Spain before returning to Reno to begin working as a Social Media and Communications Manager, and loves her budding career. She held multiple positions on the Junior Executive board during her time in the Kappa Xi chapter, and is forever grateful for the experience. She is excited to get involved again with her sisters post-grad, and looks forward to promoting membership among new graduates! Outside of work and Sigma Kappa, she enjoys taking weekend trips, spending time with friends, and trying new craft beers.
Regina Roberson, Vice President of Membership
Regina Roberson was a member of the Kappa Xi chapter of Sigma Kappa at the University of Nevada where she graduated in 2015. She previously served as the Vice President of Communication for the Sierra Nevada Alumnae Chapter.
Jessica Cate Dickinson, Vice President of Programming
Jessica is an alumna of the Kappa Xi chapter from the University of Nevada, Reno. Following graduation in 2010 she obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Touro College of pharmacy in Manhattan NY. She returned to Reno in 2014 and is a geriatric clinical pharmacy specialist at the VA hospital in Reno. She has been a collegiate advisor for the Kappa Xi chapter, previously to the EVP (now known as VP of Standards and Values) and currently the advisor to the VP of Academic Excellence (previously VP of Scholarship). She is excited to transition into the Sierra Nevada Alumnae chapter as the Vice President of Programming. She is looking forward to building stronger relationships between our alumnae and collegiate sisters. Outside of work and sigma kappa she enjoys spending time with her husband and fluffy puppy Oliver, volunteering in various areas with the elderly and those living with dementia, and enjoying the beautiful Reno/Tahoe area.
Deborah Wallace Sedrel, Panhellenic Delegate
Deborah Wallace Sedrel was a member of the Gamma Iota chapter of Sigma Kappa at Texas Tech University where she was initiated in 1972. She is also affiliated with the Dallas Texas Alumnae Chapter.
